I don't believe in fluff or unicorn farts.

If you are going to embark on this fun, hard, expensive, tiring and exciting journey of becoming a venue owner and running a wildly successful venue, I want you to know what that is really going to take.

A few points just so you know I'm not some "guru" sharing general business ideas you could find with hundreds of other online resources...

  • I'm actually an established wedding venue owner, not just someone who has seen the success or failure of venues in the wedding industry. I've been managing partner of Haue Valley since its inception in 2013 where every year we have sold out of available dates. That makes for more than 600 weddings held over the last 10 years and 150+ more booked in the future.

  • I figured out how to quit my day job more than six years ago. Running our venue isn't my side hustle. It's my family's primary income and I know what it took to make that dream a reality.

  • Our venue has a 5 star rating on The Knot, and a 4.9 rating on Facebook and Google. We've learned to make our clients exceptionally happy and that's the goal every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

  • Couples are typically waiting 2.5 years for a prime Saturday at our venue. (That's crazy!)

  • I've built an amazing team and I'm not married to my business. My role at the venue is primarily 8 - 5 Monday - Friday.

  • I have an undergrad in marketing, an MBA in strategy, and spent 13 years in corporate America where I worked along business leaders and some pretty stellar ad agencies.

  • I’ve coached over 450 wedding venue owners all over the country (and a few around the world.) You’ll find a few kind words from just a few of them here. You’ll also figure out pretty quickly I’m not full of fluff if you check out my new wedding venue owners Facebook group.

My goal isn't to be a wedding venue consultant.

Wedding venue consultants (I don't even like that word) actually often aren't even venue owners. They can speak to the success or failure of others, but often haven't been the ones to dig in and start and operate a venue themselves. To me that's a substantial difference between that and the value I can add to you and your venue. I’ve been where you are now.

My goal is to teach you the 8 key areas of operating a successful venue, and show you how to implement what I've learned over 10 years owning my own successful venue in 8 weeks.

In my own wedding venue business, I realized something important. When couples booking my venue come to me and ask questions, I'm giving them a bandaid. I'm answering the questions they know to ask. That is not the same thing as giving them a roadmap to make their wedding planning journey a huge success. (I've changed that - I now give couples the roadmap.) For years I've answered the questions of new and prospective venue owners, but just like brides and grooms new and struggling venue owners don't even know the most important questions to ask. That's why giving you a roadmap is so critical.

Most days you can find me hanging out with my husband Derek and our little boys Cole and Levi, or at Haue Valley, our charming St. Louis wedding venue.

I am mostly known for my bubbly personality and never-ending passion for the wedding venue business. That passion is shown in the oodles of great reviews left by Haue Valley couples, and in the wedding industry among my peers for hosting events like our recent venue owner meet-up and moderating several venue owner Facebook groups.
